This workshop will explore how someone with an idea gets started and then manages the process of writing.
Topics will include:

• How to prepare to write
• A story versus a novel
• Where do ideas come from?
• Typing, handwriting, or dictating
• when, where, and how often to write
• defining what you want to write
• Goal setting- pantser or planner
• Drafts, drafts, and more drafts
• Planning strategies
• Tracking the story
• Proofing tools

Bob Ainsworth is a retired financial executive and CPA who has self-published CONNED and DUPED in the Harry Bartlett fraud mystery series and will soon publish SCAMMED. He started writing upon retiring and has taken college and Seven Bridge classes as well as joined multiple critique groups. He mostly has learned thru trial and error and is glad to share both with aspiring writers.
