Join author Rich Marcello for an immersive Novel/Memoir in Progress class, designed for writers dedicated to completing or revising their full-length works. Running from September 2024 through June 2025, this weekly Thursday morning class offers a supportive environment where your creative journey will be nurtured and your writing will flourish.
Over the course of the program, you’ll receive personalized, constructive feedback on your writing from both Rich and your peers. We will reference two cornerstone texts in creative writing:
- “Writing Fiction” by Janet Burroway: This textbook will serve as a guide for narrative techniques, character development, and the essentials of fiction writing.
- “Story” by Robert McKee: This book will help you understand the principles of storytelling, focusing on structure, plot, and the intricacies of crafting a compelling narrative.
- “The Art of Memoir” by Mary Karr: This book is the gold standard used by many memoir classes.
