In this Thursday evening let your creativity run wild. Experiment with form, style, and voice in a safe, supportive space with other writers who will take creative risks alongside you. Every writing prompt is its own adventure, so the pieces created in these sessions will be understandably raw and treated accordingly. Each week writers are given 20 minutes for spontaneous writing using provided prompts, followed by an opportunity to read their work and receive positive only reinforcement and encouragement. The facilitator writes and reads aloud along with the other participants. All work produced in the writing workshop is treated as fiction to minimize the personal vulnerability of the writer.
This workshop meets 2 hours weekly for ten weeks in the fall, winter and spring. Class size is limited.
