COVID-19 has affected many lives of those who are part of the Seven Bridge Writers’ Collaborative community. Our hearts go out to all the families who have suffered and experienced loss. Nothing can fully replace the intimacy and benefits of the personal group meetings, workshops and classes that are central to our mission. But this simply is not a possibility now and for the immediate future.
Instead, we are providing educational and developmental opportunities through online services for the rest of this school year. This includes critique and writing groups, workshops, and classes. Saturday sessions that we cancelled earlier this spring will be rescheduled. Please continue to check the website for updates.
While we hope that most sessions in the 2020/2021 calendar year will meet in person, if we believe at any time that the safety of the community is at risk – or when the Commonwealth mandates – we will revert to online programming.
As we all follow state guidelines for safety by wearing masks and gloves and practicing social distancing, remember to stay in touch with friends, old and new. Try to write: Putting things down on “paper” helps process change and meet challenges.
And above all, be safe.
